His incredible footage of killer whales launching themselves up the beach after sea lion pups in Patagonia for Trials of Life (1990) was met with international acclaim and the episode it featured in, Hunting and Escaping, won the Revelation category at Wildscreen, 1992. Mike has hosted numerous shows for both Discovery and National Geographic Channels . Tempest of the Deep was an Emmy-nominated production. Michael used all of these skills to create and produce the added content featurettes for the Warner Bros. and New Line Cinema Appaloosa DVD release, January 2009, as well as the 13 episode Building Green television series, distributed on PBS, October, 2006 -2008.
